Wild For Congress: an Interview with Susan Wild

By November 28th, 2021No Comments

As part of our look into candidates for congressional seats in 2018, we are please to share this podcast interview featuring Susan Wild. Susan is running for PA District 7’s Congressional seat. She provided the following blog post. Please take a moment and get to know Susan.

The deck has been stacked against the American middle class and working poor for far too long. Wages have been stagnant for decades; health care costs continue to skyrocket; and good-paying jobs are getting outsourced or automated by multinational corporations paying little to no taxes. Meanwhile, the only answer from the Republican Congress is to cut taxes for their billionaire donors in the dark of night.

Washington’s problems are complex and the 7th simply deserves a representative who will take them head on — someone who will fight for the middle class, fight to ensure working families aren’t left behind, and fight to bring economic relief to young Americans drowning in debt. This is exactly what I’ll do in Washington, and it’s why I’m the best candidate for the job; I’ll face these challenges head on and will never stop fighting for you and your family.

The people of the 7th District are decent, fair, honest and hard working Americans who want to elect a representative who reflects these fundamental values. They want a representative who will bring us together, not tear us apart.

They want a representative who not only knows how to identify the problems we face, but also a representative who can work in Washington, D.C.’s fractured and highly partisan climate to achieve solutions that generate bipartisan support.

The people of the 7th District have a right to demand that their representative in the U.S. Congress listen to their concerns, give them honest information about policy solutions and votes in the best interests of the people of the 15th District.

I will be that representative.
