3 Steps to Take to Get Out Of Your Own Way

By November 29th, 2021No Comments

Ever find yourself walking around wondering why you keep ending up in the same place? Taking that trip around Mt. Sinai for the 40th time? Well that more than likely means you are repeating a mistake over and over again and you can not even see it. What is it? Its your “Blindspot”. Want to know a secret? We all have them. Yup, me, you and every human too. So how do you evolve past it. Here are three quick first steps.

First, seek help in identifying your blindspot. You can’t see it but others around you can. So take the time to ask and really listen to what others are telling you. It might be hard to hear but remain optimistic.

Failure happens. Its a part of learning. Wash that fear away long enough to learn from a mistake. Or as our Optimize coach, Brian Johnson says, it is a “mis-TAKE” just get up and start over but learn from it.

Third, on average an adult makes roughly 35,000 decisions a day. No wonder we stall out sometimes. Systematizing your processes takes decision-making out of the process, leaving more mental room for bigger and better thinking.
